Street Stories

I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

I love to compose with advertising

as it is frequently based on incongruous imagery, and so is street photography. The best of Elliot Erwitt’s work is often a trick of the eye, a “misalignment” that aligns perfectly!

You can always spot the street photographer.

He or she is lingering in corners, sometimes for over an hour, waiting for that “moment”, capturing a split second of human behavior with meaning, and then integrating that moment into a geometrically inspired composition that intensifies the meaning of the story.
